Bio
This is the IC journal for my Camarilla sanctioned Mage: the Awakening PC, Elias Deveraux a.k.a. Michael Cross a.k.a. Geminus. Elias is a Mastigos of the Silver Ladder, and is somewhat connected to 'The Guild' if that makes any sense to you. Please note that this journal is entirely here to flex my own creative muscles, and to allow my VST a little insight into my character's brain. Nothing here can be used IC unless you were in the scene, in which case you can use anything you were involved with, or if I expressly state otherwise.

I have friendslocked the journal - but if you want in, just say. The management reserves the right to suspend metagaming people with duct tape from the ceiling and beat them with sticks, however. Have a nice day.

For reference, my primary inspirations for Elias include the following:

* Mr Wednesday from Neil Gaiman's American Gods: Not so much for the whole 'being a God' thing, but the modus operandi and general style fits. Both are, after all, the quintessential confidence guy.
* The Marquis de Carabas from Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere: Elias knows people, who know people, and there are a lot of favours involved. I also feel a quote from Mr Croup, albeit regarding the Angel Islington, to be appropriate; "He's so far from right and wrong he couldn't see it on a clear night with a telescope."
* Harry Salt from Rob Grant's Incompetence: Harry is a great example of a man living far too many lives, and a role model to any potential face man.
* Dorian Grey from Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Grey: This one is aesthetic more than anything else, and who better to use for an aesthetic reference than Mr Wilde, but that aside the story of a charming high society boy falling in a bad way is very close to the concept I have here.
* Edmond Dantes, as portrated by James Caviezel in The Count of Monte Cristo: The perfect ruse and reinvention, and for the sheer ruthless determination for revenge. As an aside, I really do need to read this book sometime, it's sitting on my bookshelf gathering dust.
* Patrick Bateman, from the pages of American Psycho: Not so much with the casual killing, although Elias isn't above death if it's needed, but the sense of all consuming Ennui fits very well.
* John Constantine, primarily as portrayed by Keanu Reeves in Constantine more than the Hellblazer Constantine; the magical styles and attitudes, if not the motives and general personality, mesh very well.
